I called Paul and left a message a little while ago. When Gary saw the vet this evening, he confirmed there was little to no chance Rex would recover from his injuries. He went to sleep this evening and, I hope, will find his peace and, just maybe, Allie! She would be a kind and gentle soul to his rambunctious spirit. We are grieving, as you and Paul well know. It does leave a gaping hole in your heart. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. Rex, no doubt, was uplifted by them, as were we.
