The January Series

I am a big fan of perpetually learning. One of the best venues of learning occurs, surprisingly, at my employer, Calvin College. A college - shocking, I know. Since I have been working there since 2001 there is one program that I try and never miss - The January Series. Promoted as 15 days of free, liberal arts education for the community - and with remote locations and the internet - the world, the series brings in some of the best speakers addressing some of the most current and interesting topics.

I try and never miss a speaker. Today, T. R. Reid is going to speak on healthcare. One of my personal favorites is coming January 15 - Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia. Really, isn't that exciting? What a great program! My kudos to the program's heart and soul, Kristi Potter, and her assistant, Deanna Doll. You two are awesome!
