Long weekend

Thursday the movers came.  We had everything ready to go - in the garage, the most of it.  Stuff from many a Navy move, donations from good friends and a few things picked up in the weeks leading up to the day.  The day.  The movers came (from Two Men and a Truck) and had us packed up and on the road in less than 90 minutes.  Frank and David were fantastic.  Worth everything.

Once we made it Oscoda, we spent the whole weekend moving boxes, assembling beds and utilizing cleaning products.  We stopped long enough to enjoy a few meals, visit the V to see our dear friends and enjoy the beach and water with Samson the dog.  The water was warm enough for swimming.  Before June.  That is CRAZY and tells me that we are in for one long, hot summer.  Bring it.

I barely had enough time with the camera but did get to grab a few pictures.

We did discover a few things.  One is that Samson is not really a German shepherd dog.  He is really a German shepherd water dog.  A variant of the Portuguese water dog.  It's a relative new breed and the type we can barely keep out of the water.

So much more to write and tell, but for now, it's back to work.
