You might think you have mistakenly stumbled on our cooking blog. Just for this blog.
Seriously, with blogging, it's feast or famine. Saturday night, it was feast for sure. We (that's the royal we) put some steaks on the grill, accompanied by grilled asparagus drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar; and on the side, a tossed and jumbled raddicchio salad with blue cheese and pecans, covered with olive oil, red wine vinegar and a little bit o'honey. Washed down with Educated Guess. Oh so good.
But the night kicked off with a fabulous vodka martini with the most amazing blue cheese stuffed olives that I have ever had. And the silliness of this ... I don't care for vodka. I don't like green olives. So for the life of me, I can't figure out why I love this drink sooooo much. Kudos to PLK for getting everything just right.
We had a blast. Samson had a frozen tasty. It was a great night. And someday I may actually take the 35 mm prime off my camera but it may be a while.
