I love to collect beach glass. I have been collecting beach glass since I was a small child growing up on Lake Huron. I have a nice collection now and from what I have been reading, beach glass is becoming more and more rare.Since recycling and plastic, less glass is being deposited in the lakes, hence less and less glass is washing up on shore. It is a good thing that people are recycling and that there is potentially less garbage in the lakes; however it marks a small loss in something that I have thoroughly enjoyed.Until I began looking around, I had NO IDEA how popular beach glass could possible be! There is a nice article, with references on Wikipedia.
