I love good news.  This was a delightful Art Prize exhibit, located at (ta da!) 106 S Division, a/k/a Calvin's art gallery downtown.

The entire piece was made from fortune cookie fortunes.  And brightened with beautiful colors.  I loved it.

I have an amazing friend - Jewels who is not only this unbelievably talented photographer, but is a math wiz and one of the funniest people I know. Whenever we are together, it's not 15 minutes before we are laughing so hard that we can't breathe.  People are staring at us.  We don't care.  We have so much fun.

We hit Art Prize together knowing that we would have a great time together.   It was a fabulous night.  I can't wait to see her pictures.  Here are mine.

Art Prize Sunday

I know.  It's overboard.  But I can't help it.  This city is so totally energized.  And it was an absolutely GORGEOUS day outside, so Paul and I took off to see some exhibitions downtown.  Can I just say how awesome it is to see so many people walking around downtown?  It's fabulous.  So good for Grand Rapids.  So good for Michigan.
