Light and dark

We have this pretty neat room East of the Equator.  We call it the beach room because really there is nothing else that fits.  It's sort of the all-purpose room;  it handles all our beach supplies, provides storage for all our cleaning implements including the lawn mower, has a couple tables, a futon, a boatload of games and some really neat art.  And of course, windows - lots of windows and two doors.  It's the coming-and-going room.
It's really dark.  The lamp doesn't help.  Last year, we were at a home show and we saw these really cool sticky lights.  I didn't do anything with them but it did spark the idea for the beach room.  We will never have overhead lights in that room but we can have something just as lovely.

Out on the town

Last night, Jewels and I headed downtown to capture some of the best light - twilight. We got a good number of shots in but I had to call it an early night since we were taking Deb to the airport at 5:30 this AM.

Twilight is my favorite light - the skies turn amazing colors, the buildings capture and reflect cool colors and nothing is more fun than long shutter speeds and passing cars. Really while other people where out on the town Friday night, we were too. Only cameras and tripods in tow. :)
