At this moment

what do you want most?

It's a philosophical question.  But an important one.

Images of heaven ...

...is a great song by Peter Godwin.  If you haven't heard it, you should listen.

Every day I see images of heaven.  When I head into work, I see kids and dogs and parents and grandparents walking to the school.  What a beautiful way to start the day.

Every evening when I drive home, I see images of heaven in the setting sun.  The gloaming is the perfect time of the evening as I watch the light fade and the stars and moon appear.

I see images of heaven in my sweet Samson's face.  What could be more perfect that this?

To see the world in a grain of sand, and to see heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hands, and eternity in an hour.

Saying goodbye

Today our dear friend Catie said goodbye to her sweet Andi.  16 years together.

From Andi's project

Grieve not,
nor speak of me with tears,
but laugh and talk of me
as if I were beside you.....
I loved you so --
'twas Heaven here with you."

--by Ilsa Paschal Richardson

Several years ago, I was able to get some good pictures of Catie and Andi.  I am so glad that I was able to get these happy snaps.

We know how hard this is.  In time, our grief transcended to remembrance, joy, and gratitude for all the time together.  We love you Catie.

Really

It's gorgeous here.  Other people can go globe trotting around the world ... but me?  I wouldn't be anywhere else, even if it is still a little cool for June.

Heaven

...means a lot of things to a lot of people. This weekend, I had the chance to visit my heaven, thanks to our friend, Steve.
