A little of this, a little of that...

It's been a very nice weekend. Saturday afternoon, after walking Mr. Snowmoleious, I let a Sailor buy me a beer. It wasn't just *any* beer; nope it was a Founder's Beer, and specifically my favorite beer, Pale Ale. We have been trying to get down to Founder's Brewing since they moved into their new facilities and joy of joy, they are TOTALLY smoke free! The Sailor bought us a couple of pints and some peanuts, and we drank our beer, ate our peanuts and threw the casings on the floor. What a delightful way to spend the afternoon. And we could not in good conscience leave without a growler filled with our liquid delight.

For dinner, Paul made one of our favorite meals, Pan seared filets with Cabernet sauce. Handsome Boy was QUITE interested in the meal and we shared, just a smidgen. Tonight, Paul is making Chicken Piccata, another one of his magnificent meals. Usually he will make enough for a little extra for lunch the next day. Yum, yum, yum.

We also have another little house project in the offing. This winter has been especially hard and harsh. Our good friends and contractors at HWC Homeworks are replacing some windows. I had a look on Saturday and can't wait to have them installed. In a drafty old house, anything I can do to not heat and cool the outside really helps on energy bills. Aileen will call us next week with the timeline and schedule. I wish that we had done this earlier but now is as good a time as any.

Samson is sleeping quietly at our feet, the Red Wings are playing the Dallas Stars and we wait for round two of the nasty storm. Stay warm and dry everyone!

One of the best things I ever did at the old homestead on Lyon St., was replace all the windows. It made such a huge difference in terms of insulation, noise reduction, asthetics, etc.

You guys are rolling on the house projects. Can't wait for the kitchen!!

Stay warm. Enjoy the Pale Ale. Yum.
