After the Romp

It's beautiful here. The birds are singing and chirping, what sounds to Samson like taunting...'I am out here and you are not...' We are cautious with the screen door, having it fixed once already. He is very, very good about not going out until we give the command, but you can see him quivering, using every ounce of self control to NOT go screaming through the door before we say OK. I might seem punitive but he has to learn to wait. We can't afford a number of new screen doors.

Furry girlfriend was out which leads to close-to-hysterics whining and much scrambling. Paul was out for a fun so Samson and I went over to say hello to Annie. Much play ensued though, to the casual observer, it could look dangerous. I assure you it is not. Samson is at least 5 times Annie's body weight and he hasn't come close to ever hurting her. He LOVES her. Really.

So after all the playing and snorting and chortling, we have come back into the house. I have actual work to do and Paul needs to run some errands. So with the back slider open slightly, and the working screen door ajar, he will sit and pine for his furry girlfriend, until she is out again. I am certain that he will let us know when she is back.

Oh, it's 3pm today. Let's Go, Red Wings! Let's wrap it up!

Nope, thankfully, no turkeys. But he did decide to take off and run through the open area to a yard four homes over ... and scare the begeebers out of the woman gardening.

Back to the leash until he behaves!

I'm so envious of your spring. It's so renewing to see the grass and flowers and tree buds again...after so long. Sort of makes the long winter worth it, doesn't it?

My computer has been giving me fits. I think I've righted the ship!

Samson is too cute!
