Early week update

It's Tuesday night and we have had a busy couple of days. With Paul's time off coming to an end, he is busy trying to wrap up some house projects. The former 'dusty rose' room is gone and it is a wonderful cocoa brown color. Paul finished the trim and baseboards and is ready for us to move back in the furniture. It looks terrific. I am SOOO happy that "we" (that's the royal 'we') changed that color and it doesn't look pink anymore. Whew.

Paul took Deb to the doctor today for her follow up visit. It is so good see her on her FEET, even with the help of the crutches. She will slowly ease back into work and she is excited to be allowed to do something other than sit on her sofa. :) That's good news.

I finally got around to using up some Barnes and Noble gift cards that Santa brought at Christmas. I bought a couple of good books and some good music. I needed some new material to read. I am tired of learning about my cameras. :) I still have so much to learn about them but need a break.

We have all recovered from the 'squirrel' incident. Of course, Paul and Samson were over it earlier than I was ... but I am better now. Should we have another incident, I have a plan. Hopefully, I will never have to implement said plan, but it's there, just in case. I pray deeply that I really won't have to implement said plan with a skunk. Ugh.

It's beautiful here this week and I think that maybe, just maybe, we are done with winter.

Did you just pick up The Last Lecture? I saw his interview with Diane Sawyer. Riveting. I'd love to read the book, but fear I'd cry like a baby all the way through.

Yeah, I am hoping that I will. :) I think that we take too much for granted and it's a good reminder. Have you seen his lecture on You Tube? It is AMAZING.
