Sounds odd, eh? I wish I could measure the speed of time or at least control it. Say those Friday afternoons at around 3pm, I would love to be able to fast forward; and Saturday nights, I would like to slow them down. S*L*O*W way down. We just don't know where it all goes. We just know that it does and here I am, facing another Sunday afternoon with a busy week in front of me. To compound things, I mistakenly thought this week was the 4th of July with Friday off. Not so. Sigh.
I am going to write a little about Twitter. I have been a fan for quite a while and many of you either hopped on the Twitter bandwagon or you have continued to roll your eyes at me. :) But consider this. The US State Department asked Twitter to delay an upgrade so that people in Iran could continue to access it. Seriously. Twitter, the social media laughing stock of some was SO important to information coming out of a country in turmoil, that the feds asked them to NOT TAKE IT OFFLINE. You are read it here.
Also, Twitter peeps can add a green overlay to profile pictures in solidarity for those in Iran who are hoping for a fair election. Other requests passing about twitterville asked people to change their locations & GMT to Iran GMT time. The hopes were to thwart Iranian officials from finding freedom seekers. Allegedly they were seeking people by location/time zone. I can't verify this technically but it sure made the rounds.
We are still working on the wedding pictures, along with some other pictures taking during the week. We have a friend coming over for dinner, along with providing her with help on her job search.
It's going to be a gorgeous week here in the enchanted mitten. Updates and pictures, of course, to follow.
