A day in the life

Mostly I like to travel without His Handsomeness.  He takes up a lot of room, expects a lot of attention, and is way too eager to meet people on the beach.

Sometimes I just want to relax.  He just wants to have fun.  Thus the paradox. This weekend, I vowed to have both - running him ragged so I could relax.

We made it up to the cottage early Friday evening, just in time for dinner and a quick dip in the great Lake Huron.  How the water is so warm in July is beyond me but no complaints.

I can't keep Samson out of the water.  Ever.  So we just let him wander and soak as he sees fit.  When we renovated the cottage, we did so with Samson in mind - flooring impervious to dirt, sand, and water.  It is.  So if he is a tad wet, hauling sand, so be it.

When he spends the day in the water, I can spend the evening relaxing..  :)

Samson loves Olivia.  I mean LOVES her.  Follows her everywhere. Whines when she is unattended.  It just cracks us up.  I said to Oliva, "Samson loves you."  Olivia says, "I know."   Precious.

Someone asked Paul what we DO at the cottage.  Nothing.  Absolutely nothing.  Except enjoying this beach, this lake, and our crazy GSD running around. Or in this case, sunning.
