Thursday

It was a good day and difficult day. We pray and mourn for our friends whose dog was attacked by a coyote. You can read their story here.

Samson continues to challenge and test us. Paul's POA (Plan of Action for those of you not familiar with acronyms) is to tire his little puppy butt out. He walked him today for 2 1/2 hours plus a 30 minute walk this evening. It's working. He is tired.

We took some shots of him in his more quiet moments. He is a beautiful dog. If anyone can help him, it's us. If not, it's a really, really tough call.

Dee, thank you so much for the link to Rex's story. I called Paul and left a message a little while ago. When Gary saw the vet this evening, he confirmed there was little to no chance Rex would recover from his injuries. He went to sleep this evening and, I hope, will find his peace and, just maybe, Allie! She would be a kind and gentle soul to his rambunctious spirit. We are grieving, as you and Paul well know. It does leave a gaping hole in your heart. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. Rex, no doubt, was uplifted by them, as were we. Thank you.

I've been watching your progress with Samson. You're right...if anyone can bring him onto the straight and narrow, it will be you and Paul. I'm looking forward to meeting him someday.

Much love,
Lisa, Gary and Kate
