One year ago today, we said goodbye to the best furry friend that I have ever known. Her departure created a hole in our home and our hearts. I have never known such loss, it simply took my breath away. The selfish part of me wondered what I missed and what else I could have done; truth was she was not well and it was simply her time. I struggle with things I can't control. Mostly, we just miss her and toast her every night.So here is to you Dogger, Munchkin, Little Honey, Pumpkin, Girlie and Girkie. We miss you. Keep those birds off your beach.

I have a feeling Rex is giving her a run for her money. He's probably riding around on her back trying to tell her what to do. She, undoubtedly, is annoyed with him. :-)
Allie could not have known greater love and devotion. Your heart can be soothed by that.
