A dinner to remember

Paul took off Saturday morning to visit his family.  I stayed back to catch up on domestic things like laundry and to enjoy a little time with His Handsomeness.  We have been on the road a lot already this year so I needed a little down time.

Ann Marie (@AQ) came over Saturday afternoon for some down time from college.  Since Paul doesn't like seafood and Ann Marie is an exceptional cook, it was the perfect night for whatever we wanted.  :)  She decided on a sauteed scallop and shrimp dish, cooked in white wine, butter and chicken broth.

She added some herbs and crushed red pepper.  When the delicious concoction was done simmering, she tossed it into the penne pasta and topped it with cheese.  The crazy thing is she is a sophomore in college and used no timer or no recipe.

We had a little pinot grigio to go with it.  And then spent the rest of the evening curled up on the sofas with Mr. Handsome watching the Olympics.  It was a wild, rocking evening in EGR.
