It all blurs together

The week, the weekend.  Who knows. I don't know where the time goes.  The week was a blur and Friday morning, we packed up the car and headed to Oscoda.  Mr. Handsome spent the weekend at the happiest place on earth, hanging with his peeps and his BFFs Cheyenne and Rebecca.   The Landrover was packed to the brim with lights, tables, blankets, towels, coffee pot.  You know, essentials.  :)  It was a beautiful drive up to Oscoda and we made it in record time.

We spent the afternoon with our friend Rick who will be doing some work on the cottage.  We need a few new windows to take in the magnificent view, some upgraded flooring, new electrical and a little bit of plumbing.  Rick met us at the cottage and before we arrived had plowed our driveway and shoveled our walkway.  What a dear.  We can't wait to see what he does with the windows.  :)

We slept at the cottage both nights.  I can tell you a few things.  It's very dark after 7pm especially when no one is around on either side of our house.  NPR and my Grundig are my friends when I have no TV and it's a really good idea to get away from TV except when the Winter Olympics are starting.  Paul and I had some wonderful nights with candles, radio and an adult beverage.    And we enjoyed the time around the city.  We took a lot of pictures, enjoyed dinner at a few local joints and finished our evenings with our friends at the V.

The best part of the weekend - visitors.  Bald eagles living in the pine trees a few doors down.  At one point, the eagle flew through our yard, at eye level and I could do nothing but gasp.  Stunning beauty.  Enormous wing span.  Amazing.  They were out most of the weekend but far enough away that I couldn't get great shots.  Oh my goodness, they were gorgeous.  I can't wait to go back.

We headed back Sunday morning and picked up Mr. Handsome at 4pm.  We were happy to have him back and he is nothing but tired.  They just spoil him at Whiskers.

So tomorrow, I am back at it!
