Father's Day

Today is Father's day. It's a day that may be celebrated in many different ways.  Up here, EOTE, it's celebrated via email.

My father lives very far away.   To help him celebrate, I sent him an email.   In part of the email, I wrote this:

This Father's day, I want to thank you for instilling in me a great love of the Great Lakes.  From the time when I was very young, I always wanted to be here - on this lake, with my own beach, and experience what very few people in the world will know.  It is stunningly beautiful - the sun, the sand, the surf, the stars, the moon, the freighters, and mostly the peace that comes with being near the water.

Happy Father's day to all of you - who parent both two and four legged children.  Cheers from East of the Equator.
