silly little race on the river

every single year, we make the pilgrimage north. we come to see a bunch of paddlers race through the night and cross the finish line - exhausted, depleted, and exuberant. 



This year, there were unusual Twitter hashtags.



Teams have shirts and help.



They paddle for 120 miles, from Grayling to Au Sable/Oscoda, through the night.  How they have any energy at the end is way beyond me.









and they are tired.
