A weekend in the life

We had such a wonderful weekend. There are times when we thought the weekend crawled along; there were other times when it flew by.

Friday night, I cooked and we ordered our very favorite, 10 minute - aka Grand Lakes Chinese. We affectionately call it 10 minute because, well, it's always ready in 10 minutes. We watched the Red Wings and had a cool, relaxing Friday night.

Saturday night, we hosted our friends Dave and AJ for dinner. Paul made a beef tenderloin and along with long grain rice and a wonderful salad, there wasn't a better meal on the planet. We also had the HWC board meeting and strategized through business and marketing ideas. Who knew that serving on a board could be so much fun. They are so much fun - hardly feels like work.

Sunday, Samson's BFF Ann Marie came to spend the day and celebrate her birthday. She made a huge pot of chicken and broccoli pasta for dinner and we had all kinds of fun. I made some promises to get her recipes up on the Cafe. I will work on that this week.

It's a good and busy week. The Handsome One is enjoying his life and we are simply grateful. Enjoy your week!
